Our Story

This relationship started like they always go....passing by her so many times and staring from afar for many years. Then one day I was driving my moms Cadillac past Martin Custom and Collision in Dollar Bay Michigan and she was sitting on the side of the road with a for sale sign. From that moment I had to have her. She was the coolest thing in the price range of any regular rusty shit box, but I knew she would last me forever. I drove my mom's old Caddy till it wasn't roadworthy. My mom bought me the bird a couple of months later for my Graduation present. 2013 feels like forever ago. She began life as a 1978 Thunderbird Base 400/FMX. Originally dark red with a white-on-red interior vinyl interior. Loaded to the brim with almost every power option available minus a few high-end ones. Painted white poorly when it was wrecked in the ’80s. It's not the outside that matters here, I was always the awkward kid bullied for my looks. So they aren't important. It's what's lies beneath the glitter disco ball of a hood that I spent hours building along with Tracy Litton. 435 CID of 385 series Big Block Ford power, fuel injected with 11:1 compression, mated to a C6 transmission. With built suspension and rear axle too boot.
